Bovec

Bovec is situated in the north-west corner of Slovenia, just outside the Triglav National Park. The green-blue Soča river flows its way through the valley passing along Bovec.

With a large capacity of hotels, lodgings, private rooms and campsites, Bovec is the most important centre of tourism. Here you find many organisers of sporting programmes, such as kayaking and rafting, for which the valley is well- known. Bovec is surrounded by mountains, the Kanin is one of them. This mountain has a ski resort with maintained pistes above 2000 metres. If this is not enough, perhaps you want to take a look at Bovec from the air. At the local airport you can learn how to jump with a parachute from a plane. However, you can do more then only playing sports in Bovec. In the summer cultural activities take place with traditional music, dancing and food. In the old fortres Kluže, you can watch and listen to cultural concerts of artists from all over the world.
